Ivey Leigh Mustaki- Passed with peace on March 16, 2018. She died young at the age of 18 years old. Ivey was born in Atlanta, and she lived in Milton, Georgia with her family. Ivey attended Cambridge High School and was a Varsity/Competitive Cheerleader for many years. She was a Christian and attended Stonecreek Church and her Small Group. Ivey was accepted into the Honors Program at Georgia Southern, after which she wanted to pursue a career as a Nurse Anesthetist and continue in the master's program at Columbia University. Ivey is survived by her loving parents Leo and Lauralyn Mustaki, her brothers, Niles Berthen (Atlanta, GA) and Pierce Mustaki (Milton, GA). She also is survived by her grandmother Audrey Mustaki (Cumming, Ga), grandfather Wiley J. Waters (Jesup, GA ) aunts Lyn (David) Sheffield, (Cumming, GA), Lori (Joe) Tate, (Cumming GA), Carolyn (Geoffrey) Stagg, uncles Wiley J Waters Jr. (Birmingham, AL) and Stuart Waters (Jesup, GA), cousins Catherine (Stephen) Wright, (Jacksonville, NC) Crystal (Alex) Woodward, (Jacksonville, NC), Josh Tate, Jacob Tate, and Mason Sheffield (Cumming, GA), Geoffrey Stagg Jr, Laura Stagg, Julie Stagg and Michael Stagg (Greensboro, NC), as well as many loving friends and relatives.

Memorial Service for Ivey Leigh Mustaki will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 12:00 p.m., at Stonecreek Church. The family will hold a visitation before the memorial, from 11:00 to 11:50 a.m.

Ivey was very creative, and in her own words, she stated, "My name has no specific meaning to others. It is just a name that my parents liked. They had always told me it was a unique and bold name, one that is way beyond ordinary. The kind of name kindergarteners laughed at like they just saw a dancing vegetable or a name people made nice regard on. To me, my name means something pleasant and calm, like an ocean slowly breaking on the shore. Ivey is my name, and it is not like the plant. Growing up I was called poison on the bus. I told people I did not mind it, but when I got home, I always complained to my parents. They would just tell me, 'But Ivey is so lively,' and soon the comments did not bother me. I used to want a new name. Probably because I didn't like how it sounded or the way people used it in context. Now I love my name because it is one of a kind. I like the way it sounds and how it flows. It rolls off your tongue like a marble and looks like a polka dot in a room full of stripes. I'm Ivey, but if it floats your boat, you could call me poison."
