John Gary Barnett, age 72, of Marietta, passed away July 10, 2014. Gary is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Helen Barnett; daughter, Rebecca Myers, of Alpharetta; sons, Steve (Melissa) Barnett, of Alpharetta; Tim Barnett, of Marietta; grandchildren, Colin Barnett and Gemma Barnett; brother, Robert Barnett, of Phoenix, AZ; one niece and three nephews. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11:00 AM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors. Rev. Jerry Tyler officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at GA National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning 10:00 – 11:00 at the funeral home prior to the service.
