Rita Lohmeier Mussell, age 94, of Milton, GA passed away on July 3, 2014. Mrs. Mussell was born on February 21, 1920 in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Walter Edward Mussell on October 8,1984. Mrs. Mussell was very active in her church for many years.

Mrs. Mussell is survived by her nine children, Walter Edward Mussell, Jr. of Elon, NC, Shelby Cox of Los Gatos, CA, Gregory Mussell of Burlington, NC, Judi Naylor of Mobile, AL, Christopher Mussell, of West Trenton, NJ, Stephen Mussell of Mobile, AL, Maria Newman of Atlanta, GA, Anne M. Power of Milton, GA and Mark Mussell of Birmingham, AL.

Mrs. Mussell has 17 grandchildren. She has 9 great-grandchildren and one more soon to arrive. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Mario Lopez, celebrant. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6:00 – 8:30 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, GA.
