Mr. Cassius L. “Cass” Chapman, age 89 of Roswell, died July 31, 2009. A native of Atlanta, Mr. Chapman was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army Air Corps in the Phillipines. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service after more than 35 years of service and then founded and operated Mr. C’s Cooking Castle and catering service. Mr. Chapman was past president of the Georgia Chef’s Association and taught cooking at Atlanta Tech. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Pauline B. Chapman. Survivors include his son, Dennis Chapman and his wife Barbara of Alpharetta; step-grandchildren, Kimberly Tallant and her husband Rex and Mitchell Wheeler; great-grandchild, Carina Wheeler. The funeral service will be on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Harvey West officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. The Chapman family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 PM until 8 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory, Roswell/Alpharetta. 770/645-1414.
