CHILDERS – Mrs. Frances B. Childers, age 87 of Roswell died April 2, 2010. Mrs. Childers was born in Atlanta and had been a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church in East Cobb for 57 years. A loving wife, mother and grandmother she is survived by her husband of almost 67 years, J.W. (Red) Childers of Roswell; children, Melonee Bates of Cumming, Petrelia Lawhorn of Roswell and Ronnie Childers of Roswell; sisters, Ann Davis of Marietta, Stella Mabry of Carrollton, Doris Nix of Marietta and Joyce Pettitt of Marietta; brothers, Willard Bearden of Ball Ground and Tony Bearden of Canton; 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Childers will be on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Jarrell Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. The Childers family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 until 8 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory, Roswell/Alpharetta, 770/645-1414.
