BANKS – Mrs. Dorothy Haley Banks, age 80 of Fayetteville, formerly of Alpharetta, died May 25, 2010. Mrs. Banks was born in Cherokee County, grew up in Alpharetta and lived for many years in Lawrenceville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman W. Banks. She is survived by daughters, Diane Fuqua of Fayetteville, June Baabe of Bethlehem, GA, Sheila Banks of Lawrenceville, and Tammy Gamez of Winder; sisters, Ruth McGaha, Viola Green, Brookie Aarons and Peggy Poole; brother, Charles Haley; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Rev. James E. Sutton officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 8 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory, Roswell/Alpharetta, 770/645-1414.
