CAMP – Martha Jo Wigley Camp of Roswell, Georgia passed away peacefully on July 26, 2010. She was born in Dallas, Georgia on April 23, 1920, one of seven children of Lon and Nettie Wigley. Martha will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her great love was her family. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church for over 40 years and worked in their Mothers Morning Out program, and was a member of Riverwood Garden Club. She is survived by her dedicated husband of 68 years, George Watson Camp; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Patricia Camp of Roswell, GA; son and daughter-in-law Alan and Debora Camp of Roswell, GA; sister, Ruth Murphy of Morrow, GA; 5 grandchildren to whom she was “Nana”, Brad Watson, David Ronald, Natalie Kathleen, Meredith Ann and Matthew Watson; one great grandchild, Brandon George. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 27th from 6-8pm at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, located at 12050 Crabapple Road in Roswell, GA. The service celebrating the life of Martha Jo Camp will be held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, located at 850 Mt. Vernon Highway, Atlanta, GA 30327 on Wednesday, July 28th at 1:00 PM with interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell. Mrs. Camp will be placed in state at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Wears Valley Ranch, 3601 Lyon Springs Road, Sevierville, Tennessee, 37862, Attn: Jim Woods.
