Irene Donovan Reimer, age 83, Alpharetta, Georgia, died August 5th, 2017 in Roswell, Georgia.
Ms. Reimer was born on April 21st, 1934 in Evergreen, Alabama. She graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile, Alabama. She received her Bachelor's degree from Auburn University and a Master's degree from Tulane University in Social Work. She was also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. During her career, she worked as a case worker for the State of Louisiana, assisted special needs families with local resources and coping skills while working in Georgia and retired as a Discharge Planner at Roosevelt Institute in Warm Springs. She was a loving mother, wife, friend and servant in her faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Reimer and son, Troy Jerry Cox, Jr. She was survived by her daughter, Lee Staten of Alpharetta, Georgia, sister, Jerry Birkhead of Evergreen, Alabama, grand-daughter's Hannah and Emma Staten of Alpharetta, Georgia, and many nieces and nephews in North Carolina, Alabama and Mississippi. She was a member of St. Clements Episcopal church in Canton, Georgia.
For visitation, the family will be receiving friends on Monday, August 7th from 4:00-6:00pm at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, Georgia, 30075.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 8th at 11:00am at Northside Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at the Evergreen City Cemetery in Evergreen, Alabama on Wednesday, August 9th time TBD.
