Mr. Darrell Salvia

November 16, 1980 - February 12, 2022

A stranger to no one and a trusted friend to all, Darrell was the designated helper. A role he owned and loved. Need someone to test out that sketchy slide at the lake? Darrell was first in line. Stuck naked on the bathroom floor with a pinched nerve? Darrell was the first call. Potential poisonous snake in your yard? Here comes Darrell, but not with a shovel - a hunting bow. This man added laughter and joy to any mundane situation. His ability to distract people from their own pain or fear with his giant smile, bear hugs, and ridiculous way of interjecting the right amount of inappropriate humor will remain lost treasures for us all. Darrell passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2022. He was 41 years young living in Alpharetta, GA with his wife and three incredible kids. Darrell attended North Point Community Church (NPCC) and was an active member for 14 years. Always a servant to others, Darrell led a group of young men from 6th grade into high school through NPCC’s Transit ministry. He cherished every minute of those three very smelly years and was ready to jump back in and do it all over again. In NPCC’s Leadership Development Group (LDG) for men, Darrell gained a band of brothers and mentors that became family. NPCC was an extension of home for Darrell. An unlikely but extremely talented CPA, Darrell was a partner at an accounting firm in Alpharetta, GA. He showed up to client meetings in flip flops and jeans, often over pizza and beers. Darrell and his partner ran the best, most respected accounting show in town. As a family man, Darrell took his title of “fun dad” very seriously while his wife played the role of “bad cop”. Through life’s stresses, surprises, and plain old normal days, there was never a moment when Darrell’s family doubted his love and support. His overflowing love left no room for that doubt to ever creep in. Darrell’s legacy of virtue, love, laughter, and joy will live on through his wife of 17 years, Nicole, and his children Abby (11), Hannah (9), and Leo (5). A “celebration of life” will be held at North Point Community Church on Tuesday, February 22nd at 11:00 am. The service can be viewed virtually at https://northpointministries.zoom.us/j/96456466484 The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 10:00-11:00. There is no viewing or interment. The family asks that you please respect their privacy and spare young, tender ears by not discussing details about Darrell’s passing. A reception will be held at the home of dear friends: 295 Blackrock Trace, Milton GA 30004. Instead of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to NAMI in Darrell’s name. https://donate.nami.org/give/197406/#!/donation/checkout?utm_source=bodyLink&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=DonationTracking&c_src=WEBGIDD
