F. Arlene Perryman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Florence Arlene Perryman (Sheldon), of Tiger, GA passed away on May 28, 2022. She was 93 years old. Arlene was born to Claude N. and Mary Pheobe (Hilsinger) Sheldon on January 14, 1929 in Oneonta, NY where she lived most of her childhood. It was in Oneonta that she met the first of four (yes four) husbands. She married Bernald D. Lamb and they had three children: Richard, Carol, and David. The pair with their children moved to Tampa, Fl in the mid 50’s. They eventually divorced and Arlene married Bill Keheley and had her son, Wil. Another divorce and two husbands followed., the last, Mr. Barry Perryman who she married in 1995 and traveled around the country with him in an RV and they eventually settled in Tombstone, AZ until his passing. She outlived all her husbands. The last few years she resided in assisted living in Tiger, Georgia and loved it. Having been a woman with a take charge persona, the staff would always tell us she pretty much ran the place! Arlene worked as a Licensed Professional Nurse. Upon learning that nurses were needed in Saudi Arabia and being the adventurous kind of gal she was, she moved there for a period of time in the mid 1980’s and spent much of her time there exploring the Middle East on camel back. She also volunteered to help in the aftermath of hurricane Andrew in 1992. Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Barry Perryman; her sister Lois; and her nephew Gary. She is survived by her children; Richard Lamb, Carol (Warren) Black, David (Elizabeth) Lamb, and William Keheley; 10 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-great Grandchildren.
