Mr. Garey E. Camp

October 20, 1944 - July 8, 2020

Garey E. Camp, age 75 of Canton, passed away on July 8, 2020 surrounded by his loving wife, Rita and daughter, Natalie, brother and sister-in law, Kinneth and Joan. He was a Vietnam veteran in the U.S. Army. He served as a Captain with the Fulton County Fire Department for 25 years. He was a longtime member of Union Primitive Baptist Church. He was a man who loved to serve people whether it be through his family, his church or his career. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin R. and Mildred Parris Camp. He is survived by his wife, Rita D. Camp; daughter, Natalie Camp both of Canton; brothers, Kinneth Camp (Joan) of Canton and Anthony Camp (Tami) of Arab, AL. along with several nieces, nephews and other extended family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Union Primitive Baptist Church, 335 Cox Rd, Roswell, GA. 30075. The Camp family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 2-6PM and Sunday from 2-5PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors. A private graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery. Please remember that we are still practicing social distancing at the funeral home and that masks will be required during the visitation.
