Wilburn M. Dockery of Milton has gone home to be with the Lord, and reunited with his wife, Jackie Dockery and family who have gone before him. He was a graduate of Milton High School class of 1971. He was retired from the City of Atlanta as well as the City of Alpharetta parks department. He was a member of Boiling Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Milton. He loved being outside, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a devoted daddy, poppy, brother and friend. He was loved by many family members and friends. Wilburn was preceded in death by his parents, Lena Mae Kent and Charlie Dockery; wife, Jackie Dockery and brother, Carlos Dockery. He is survived by his daughter, April DeRousse (Tommy); granddaughter, Kayla DeRousse; sister, Carolyn Perry (Donald), brothers, Jerry Dockery, Willis Dockery, Douglas Dockery; sister-in-law, Patsy Dockery all of Milton along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Oliver Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3Pm to 8PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors.
