Obituary

Alice Ann Kenyon, aged 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Milton, Georgia on September 2, 2025, of natural causes, surrounded by her family and the caring staff at Vitality Living.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Corinne Mascle of Williamson, NY, her sisters Patricia Boyd, Linda LaPlante, Anita Mascle. Alice is survived by her three children Kalyn Chaby (Chris Sokol), Scot Kenyon (Katie), Geoffrey Kenyon (Becky), her seven grandchildren Megan Chaby, Kassie Sweeney (Shawn), Emily Brown (Aaron), Hannah Kenyon, Lily Kenyon, William Kenyon, Corinne Kenyon, her sister Lorraine Killen, her brother Bill Mascle and her three great-grandchildren.

Alice was born and raised in Williamson, New York, where she developed a lasting connection to her hometown. In her early years, Alice enjoyed playing basketball and field hockey. After marrying, she moved to Littleton, Colorado, where she and her husband opened their home to her sister Lorraine and her four children while Lorraine's husband served in Vietnam.

Later, Alice settled in Stone Mountain, Georgia, where she raised her children and became involved in her community. She served as President of the Stone Mountain Chapter of the Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs and took great pride in organizing the Annual Horse Show at Stone Mountain Park and the bake sale at the Yellow Daisy Festival. She also coached high school girls' soccer and enjoyed playing bridge with family and friends from the Women's Club. After her children began college, Alice worked at Stone Mountain Park, where she remained until retirement.

Retirement brought Alice a new and fulfilling chapter — helping to care for her grandchildren. She spent over two years in Alexandria, Virginia, supporting Geoff and Becky with Hannah and Lily, and in 2003, moved to Fort Worth, Texas to be near Scot and Katie and help with William and Corinne. She eventually moved with them to Milton, Georgia, where she remained actively involved in her grandchildren's lives — from school pickups to homework help and cheering them on at sports and activities.

Alice had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. She regularly visited family — Kalyn in Madison, Wisconsin, and Geoff in Alexandria, Virginia — and remained deeply connected to her children and grandchildren. She traveled with her siblings often, taking memorable cruises and trips throughout Europe. Favorite destinations included Hawaii, England, Greece, Italy, France — and even Graceland.
Alice enjoyed music and was an avid reader. One of her most treasured memories was her 80th birthday, when the entire family surprised her in Washington, DC. Kalyn organized a nighttime tour of the monuments — a spectacular trip for all.

In her final years, as travel became difficult, what Alice missed most was simply being near her family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 20th, from 2–3 PM at Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA. She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in Pultneyville, NY.
