Mrs. Amy Sims, age 50, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away Friday, January 17, 2025. Amy was born on June 13, 1974, the daughter of Ervey and Alice Henderson.
Amy earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University before continuing her education at Miami University where she earned her Master's degree in Speech Pathology. She was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. Amy was a faithful member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Amy also participated in many organizations with Milton High School and in the Alpharetta and Milton communities, including the Young Men's Service League (YMSL). Amy served others in her career as a Speech Language Pathologist for over 25 years. Amy is preceded in death by her father, Ervey Henderson; her sister-in-law, Alison Henderson; and her father-in-law, Lawrence Sims. Amy is survived by her devoted husband, Robin Sims; two loving sons, Nolan and Austin Sims; mother, Alice Henderson; brothers, Ervey John Henderson II and Joseph Henderson (Angie Keiser); mother-in-law, Laquita Sims; brothers-in-law, Mike Sims (Joanie) and Larry Sims (Shannon); and several nephews. The Sims family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Rd, Roswell, GA 30075. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 535 Rucker Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004. A graveside service will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. There will be a reception following the service at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church beginning at 1PM and all are welcome to attend.
