Anne Leone, age 67, of Canton, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 12th, 2025.
Anne was born in 1958 in New York, NY to parents Vera and Reginald Humphrey, who immigrated from London, England in 1956. She was baptized at All Saints Church in the London suburb of Fulham, where her parents were born and married, a place that she would hold dearly during her life. She graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School in Dix Hills, NY in 1976, and attended Endicott College in Beverly, MA.
Anne held many jobs that were in service of other people. This included work with the NYC Department of Investigation, the NYC Government Complaint Bureau, and working for the Commissioner of Finance. She also held positions when living in Miami, most notably as an Executive Assistant for the president of a financial services business.
When her children were of school age, she worked at Crabapple Middle School where she became a beloved member of the staff while working in the school nurses office. In addition to these roles, she was also active in her community. This included many years running the neighborhood swim team alongside friends, playing on the ladies club tennis team, and running the high school concessions stand.
Her greatest joy in life was being a stay-at-home mother to her three children along with her husband Rich. She created a loving, safe, and nurturing environment for her children and their whole family. Once her children grew up and established their own lives outside of Atlanta, Anne planned her year around scheduling as many vacations and holidays with family as possible.
Anne was also known to rescue dogs, having adopted four of the six dogs she had over the years. She cared for them deeply, and they were always by her side. Additionally she was very proud of her English heritage and her many relatives in England.
Anne's legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she adored, and the love she gave so freely.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years Richard Leone; Her children Megan (Brendan, Lily, and Jack Wales), Katherine (Bradley Woods), and Richie (Vanessa and Ella Leone); Her brother Greg Humphrey (Maureen, Ian, Kate, and Emma Humphrey).
A celebration of Anne's life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 4PM in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends from 1PM until the time of service at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to St. Jude's Chldrens Hospital.
