Ashley Green Durden, 39, passed away on June 13, 2025. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend and will be so missed by so many. She was a cub scout leader; a middle school youth volunteer; a soccer mom; and was always up for an adventure. She loved the beach, live music and being with her friends and family. She loved her two boys Ethan (10) and Oliver (5), and could be found playing transformers, hosting neighborhood bubble parties and cheering on her boys at school events. She and her husband David celebrated their 13th anniversary in May and built a loving, lively home for their sweet family. You could find them at Falcons games many a fall Sunday afternoon or making memories with their boys at water parks, the zoo, a derby competition or a Braves game.
Born in Gainesville, Georgia on October 11, 1985 to Randy and Lynn Green, Ashley spent her childhood years enjoying basketball and volleyball but mostly loved spending time with her friends. She loved her home church and went on yearly mission trips to Manilla. She graduated from Johnson High School in 2004, then spent four years in Macon, where she earned a degree in analytical chemistry, with a minor in mathematics, from Mercer University. A whiz at numbers with next-level excel and computer analytical skills, Ashley worked in supply chain logistics for national companies, most recently with Tyson Foods. She carried her skills over to her family life, and tracked with precision summer camp schedules, soccer practices, and vacation plans – color coded and sorted to perfection. She had annual adventures each summer with her closest girlfriends – planned each January at an amazing steak dinner – making memories with those she held dear.
In addition to her husband David and her sons Ethan and Oliver, Ashley is survived by her parents Lynn Denise Green (Roe) and Randy Thomas Green; her sisters Jennifer Lenora Adams (Britton) and Nicole Janet Shultz (Justin); her nephews Davis Adams and David Jordan and her nieces Ayda Green, Elenora Adams, Joslyn Shultz, Julia Jordan and Claire Jordan. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Thomas Mitchel Roe; Lenora May Roe; Henry Thomas Green and Doris Janet Green.
There will be a service honoring Ashely's life at North Point Community Church, 4350 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta, at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 20. All are welcome to attend. Ashley's family and friends would like to thank North Point and Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory for assisting with the arrangements.
