Mrs. Barbara A. Jagrowski

Barbara Anne Jagrowski (nee Flannery), born in New York City on September 9, 1933, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, in Roswell, Georgia. She lived a full and vibrant life loving God by loving others as a dedicated Air Force wife, a steadfast, loving mother to her children, and a volunteer for countless charitable organizations. On June 8, 1957, Barbara married her beloved husband, Gerald Leon Jagrowski, an Air Force Officer. Their military orders took them on a 30-year journey across Georgia, Florida, Texas, Vermont, Spain, California, New York, Colorado, Virginia, Denmark, and Ohio. After Jerry retired, they made a permanent home in Melbourne, Florida, where they joyfully lived together another 30 years. Barbara was ever the curious learner and dedicated volunteer, constantly pursuing many interests throughout her life. She was an accomplished equestrian and marksman at an early age. Later, she became an excellent chef in French, Italian and Chinese cuisine; enjoyed cross-stitching; and studied Danish, Spanish, piano, and dancing. She devoted countless hours to volunteering with her church, was den mother for Cub Scouts, tutored at local public schools, served as President of the local chapter of the League of Women Voters, and devoted many hours to both Habitat for Humanity and We the People. Barbara is survived by her family: daughter, Nancy Bertles (Patrick); daughter, Diane Nuss; son, Gerald Jagrowski Jr. (Laura); son, William Jagrowski (Paula); brother, Dennis Flannery; sister-in-law, Judy Wilson; and sister-in-law, Bobbi Flannery. She was a proud grandmother to Rachel Gallagher (Patrick), Alex Jagrowski (Elizabeth), Sean Bertles, Sarah Kastilani (Ryan), Conor Bertles, Liam Jagrowski (Pragya), Jocelyn Anderson (Aidan), Aidan Jagrowski, and Kellen Jagrowski, plus a proud great-grandmother to John Jagrowski, Therese Jagrowski, Miles Jagrowski, Joachim Jagrowski, Eliza Gallagher, Maria Anderson and Melody Jagrowski. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; grandson, Andrew Bertles; brother, John Flannery; sister-in-law, Janice Flannery; and brother-in-law, Don Wilson. A visitation will be held at Northside Chapel (12050 Crabapple Rd, Roswell, GA) on Thursday, April 24th from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM, followed by a Rosary from 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church (11330 Woodstock Rd, Roswell, GA) at 10:30AM on Friday, April 25th. Interment will be at West Point Cemetery, West Point, NY at a future date. Memorial gifts should be directed to Habitat for Humanity through St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell, GA.
