Bess DeLaPerriere passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025. She was 87 years old.

Friends and family will join in celebration of Bess DeLaPerriere's life at a memorial service on Thursday, March 13 at Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA. The service will begin at 1pm.

Bess DeLaPerriere is the daughter of Harbin and Irma Chandler. She grew up in Washington, DC with summer trips to Commerce, GA to visit family. One August day in 1954 she ran into Armand DeLaPerriere who ran the soda fountain at Commerce Drug Company. Five years later they were married. Bess DeLaPerriere attended the University of North Carolina and became a nurse. In 1963 Dr. Armand and Bess DeLaPerriere moved to Hawaii where all three children were born.

In 1968, they returned to GA where Bess later changed careers to real estate and helped found the real estate company Jenny Pruitt and Associates.

Bess DeLaPerriere was not only a successful realtor but a great artist, gourmet cook, pianist, and companion to Armand and their children.

Bess DeLaPerriere is survived by her sister Ann Bolton (Leonard); her 3 children Preston (Fran), Darren (Kelley), Beth (Chris); and her grandchildren Elise (Zach), Lauren (Caitlin), Amanda (Surya), Paige (Tristan), Lydia, Molly, and Joey. She is also survived by her great granddaughters Kaia and Lila.
