Obituary

Bettina "Tina" Aurelia Huff McClure, age 82, of Roswell, Georgia passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025. She was born on November 12, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter to the late Martha and Louis Huff of Buckhead, Georgia.
Tina moved to Roswell as a young adult with her then husband, David Lawrence McClure. She raised their two children, Freddie and Stephanie in Roswell where she was a working Mom and tireless volunteer across the children's education and extracurricular activities. She served on the PTA, and was "Room Mom" for several of their classes at Mimosa Elementary School. She served as head coach in the Roswell's girls' softball league, lead Roswell Recreation Department's summer cheerleading camps, and served as "Team Mom" for multiple football, basketball, and baseball teams over several seasons.
As the primary provider for her children for many years, she was a hustler whose "can do" attitude led her to take on several different jobs over the seasons of their lives. These included but are not limited to the following: nannying children in her home after school, running a newspaper route, selling Avon, driving a school bus, working the night shift at the local secretarial and answering service, and serving as an administrative assistant to an elementary school principal.
With a heart bigger than Texas she was also a fighter. She victoriously won the battle against stage 4 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in her late 50's. It was during that battle that she not only fought for her life, but in typical Tina fashion, she took on other hats by stepping beautifully in to her role as a new Grandma, learned to paint, and taught herself to play the piano. She made it apparent to all that she didn't just want to survive, she wanted to thrive, and that she did! On the heels of that victory, she sought a sunset career with a purpose and she launched her business "Your Pet's Nanny". For her, this was a way for her to be around pets and bless those they belonged to. She was in high demand by many and ran a successful business for years! This job was her last, and by far her favorite.
Tina is survived by: her two children Stephanie Klein of Roswell & Freddie McClure (wife Jennifer) now in Ellijay, Georgia; her 4 granddaughters, Ally & Tiffany Klein and Kendall & Dani McClure; as well as her siblings Dorothy Gill (husband Bob) of Woodstock, Georgia, Pixie Chastain of Woodstock, Georgia, Louis Huff (wife Kay) in Vero Beach, Florida, and Linda Cagle in Talking Rock, Georgia.
The family visitation will take place at 10:00am on Thursday, March 6th, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Woodstock located at 11905 Highway 92, Woodstock, Georgia 30188. This will be held in the youth ministry building called "The Warehouse", which is one of several buildings that are located on the campus. The service to honor the life of Tina will be at 11:00am in the same building, immediately following the visitation.
