Obituary

Bradley (Brad) Matthew Wedge, age 37, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 26, 2024. A resident of Roswell, GA, Brad was born in Birmingham, AL, on May 27, 1987, to parents Kim Carroll and Bernie Wedge.

Brad traveled growing up, attending school in Cleveland, OH; Alpharetta, GA; and ultimately graduating in 2005 from The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, TX. Brad studied at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He was a proud alumnus of the class of 2010, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems. He remained a devoted supporter of the Alabama business school and, of course, Alabama football.

Brad joined The Home Depot corporate offices after graduation and was a valued Home Depot associate for over 14 years in various Information Technology (IT) roles and in their Home Services business. His colleagues said he led multiple successful projects at Home Depot and established many lasting relationships with them. Known to have a personality that was larger than life, he had a positive impact on many associates' lives and careers.

Often the "life of the party" with an infectious laugh, Brad was a loyal and cherished friend to many. He was an accomplished traveler. His generosity, humor, and big heart extended to his family, too. Brad is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James & Betty Carroll, maternal uncle, Donnie Carroll, and his paternal grandfather, Bernard Wedge. Brad is survived by his father and stepmother, Bernie and EveLyn Wedge of Roswell; his mother, Kim Carroll of Alabaster, AL; and three siblings: Kristen Wedge, Faith Smith (Andrew), and Ethan Wedge. As a loving uncle, Brad enjoyed playing with his young nephew and niece, Landon and Grace Smith. With his cousins Mason and Carson Benner, he loved watching football and traveling. Brad relished cooking, particularly with his "Nana," grandmother Mary Wedge of Hoover, AL. Brad was close to his Aunt & Uncle Kim Benner & Jamie Trimble, Uncle Eric Benner, and Uncle Scott Wedge, who shared his passion for travel, card games, and college football.
