Carmen Cagle Smith, 68, of Waleska, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 28, 2025.

Born on September 7, 1957, Carmen was the daughter of the late Walter Lanier Cagle and Marion Willene Dangar Cagle. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, adored "Coco" by her granddaughter, and a dear friend to so many. Carmen's life was marked by her deep and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

Carmen had a special gift of hospitality, making everyone feel loved and welcome. She always kept a beautifully decorated home, ready to welcome guests at any moment. Many of those friendships came from her Lake Arrowhead church family that she loved dearly. She had several close lifelong friendships, including her best friend of 30 years, Elaine.

Throughout her life, Carmen worked side-by-side with her husband, Vic, running the family business and Biblical counseling ministry for over 30 years. She handled all office and accounting work, while being a warm and welcoming voice on the phone to whoever called in. Together, they poured God's Word into numerous individuals and families, providing hope and encouragement during life's most challenging times.

Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lanier Cagle and Marion Willene Dangar Cagle. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Vic; her son, Chandler and wife Laura, and their daughter Lillian; her daughter, Victoria and husband Max, and their daughter Magnolia; and her brother, Ben and wife Sara and their family; along with many dear friends and loved ones whose lives she touched deeply.

Though her loss is felt profoundly, her family finds comfort in knowing she is with the One she loved most, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be missed and remembered always as a faithful servant, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a treasured friend in the lives of all who knew her.
