Caroline (Carol) Mary Mack age 91, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on May 5, 2024. Carol was born in Dayton, Ohio to Frank and Helen McCarthy. Carol attended Oakwood High School and ultimately graduated from Fairmont High School in Kettering, Ohio. Carol married Coast Guard veteran William H. Mack. Early in William and Carol's marriage, they lived in Narragansett, RI, where William manned a lighthouse during his Coast Guard Service. They eventually moved to Flint, MI to start William's career at General Motors. Eventually, they settled in Centerville, Ohio, to raise their family and, in retirement, moved to Englewood, Florida, and finally Roswell, Georgia, in 1993. Carol was a mother of Four: Kathy, Karen, Patty and Bobby. Grandmother of Six: Eric, Kyle, Olivia, Haley, Kasey and Harrison. Great Grandmother of one: Millie. Carol was an avid traveler who loved the ocean. She loved to read, especially history by Doris Kearns Goodwin. She delighted in preparing wonderful meals for her family. Flower gardening was Carol's favorite outdoor activity. She was an active member of Roswell Presbyterian Church Senior Services and volunteer with the Roswell Parks and Recreation. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Helen McCarthy, and one grandson, Harrison Mack. She is survived by her husband, William; children, Kathleen Mack (Patricia Van Voorhis), Karen Mack, Patricia Mack-Solden (Ken Mack-Solden), and Robert Mack (Leigh Mack); grandchildren, Eric Mack-Solden (Savannah), Kyle Mack-Solden, Olivia Attaway (Solomon Attaway), Haley Mack, and Kasey Mack; great-grandchild, Millie Attaway. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors in Roswell, Georgia.
