Carolyn Sue Hummel-Breazeale, age 76, of Roswell, Georgia passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, May 22, 2023. Carolyn was born on December 3, 1946 and was the daughter of the late John Lewis Hummel and Sue Anne Hummel.
Carolyn graduated from Wheaton High School located in Wheaton, Maryland in 1965. During her high school years, she was involved in Job's Daughters International. Shortly after marrying her second husband, she moved to Chamblee, Georgia, where she raised her family and lived for 30 years. In 1999, she and her third husband, Dan, moved to her beloved home in Roswell, Georgia. Carolyn loved to travel and was able to go to many wonderful places during her lifetime. She loved sharing the stories of all the places she had visited. Prior to retiring in 2017, she had a rewarding career as an Executive Administrative Assistant at PerkinElmer, Inc. for over 40 years. She cherished her time working with PerkinElmer and made many lifelong friends.
In Roswell, she was an active member of her community and dedicated her time to many organizations, such as Stonecraft Ministries, P.E.O. International, Brookfield Women's Club, Brookfield HOA and The Roswell Historic Society. These social groups provided her with a network of close friends and a special sisterhood that brought her so much joy.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. Breazeale, father, John L. Hummel, mother, Sue Anne Hummel, brother, John "Johnny" L. Hummel, aunt, Marie Elnora Sutton- Griffin (Alfred) and uncle, Raymond Albert Sutton. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Darlene Sue Cash (Shane), and Teresa Chandler (Jeremy), grandchildren, Kayla Lindsey Cash, Tyler Shayne Cash (Emily), and Rebekah Grace Cash (Bryson) and one great-grandchild, Tatum Shayne Cash. Carolyn also leaves behind sister, Jacolyn Lee Hummel-Dunbar (Randy) and brother, Raymond Kent Hummel (Jennifer).
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors.
