Charles (Chuck) Victor Eudy of Marietta, Georgia went home to the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2023. He passed peacefully while holding his wife's hand.
Chuck was born December 13, 1954 to Charles and Stevie Eudy in San Antonio, Texas. The family soon settled in Mobile, Alabama where he grew up alongside his brother and two sisters. Chuck attended the University of Alabama and was a lifelong fan of Crimson Tide football.
He met his wife, Cheryl, while working at International Paper Company in Arkansas. They wed in 1979 and were married for 43 loving years. The couple was blessed to have two daughters. Chuck's work took the family to Louisiana, Oregon, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama and eventually back to Marietta, Georgia.
Chuck's faith deepened over the years and his love for his Creator gave him joy and strength. He was a faithful member of Roswell United Methodist Church and the Bereans Sunday School class for thirty years. He treasured the friendships made in his men's Bible study group, which has been meeting for seventeen years.
Chuck was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather (Poppy). His two daughters, their husbands, and his five grandchildren were his heart. He cared deeply for others and had a genuine interest in the lives of his family and friends. He was known for his humor and smart wit, and laughter followed wherever he went. Growing up in Mobile gave him a great appreciation for the ocean, and he loved spending time at the beach with family. He was an explorer at heart and had amazing navigational talents. Chuck was a talented writer and storyteller who enjoyed creating stories with funny characters for his grandchildren. Laughter abounded during the tales he told.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Cheryl; his children, Lauren (Steven) Litton of Roswell, Georgia and Robyn (Michael) Field of Alpharetta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Benjamin Litton, Callum Litton, Caroline Litton, Thomas Field and Wesley Field; his sisters, Kathi (George) McCane of Dallas, Texas, and Lauri (Kenny) Lambert of Mobile, Alabama; his brother Joe (Betsy) Eudy, of Arlington, Texas; his mother-in-law, Wilma Robinson, of Fordyce, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Karen Blankenship, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and nephews and nieces Adam (Jess) McCane, Hanna (Ben) Ratliff, Jackson Eudy, Caroline (Aaron) Butts, Ann Taylor Eudy, Julianna (Patrick) Steadman, and Lydia Lambert.
Chuck (Poppy) loved well and was well loved. He will be missed and remembered forever.
