Charles Evan Heuer, 84, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024, after a brave battle with Dementia and Parkinson's.

Charles was born on July 31, 1939, to Charles and Irene Heuer in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from The Illinois Institute of Technology, with a degree in engineering. After college, he was employed as an engineering supervisor, by Western Electric, later AT&T. The company moved him to Sunnyvale, California, St. Louis, Missouri and finally to Alpharetta, Georgia where he retired after 40 years of service. While working in California, Charles proudly served his country in the California National Guard. In 1963, he met his wife, Joann Clampitt, and went on to have three children. After moving to Alpharetta, Charles became a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, where he remained a member of the parish for over 35 years. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Irene, his forever love and wife, Joann C. Heuer and grandson, Charles Ryan Heuer. He is survived by his loving children Christine Grass (Jason Borde), Charles W. Heuer, (Renita) and Carla Powell (David) as well as grandchildren Davis, Ryan, Catheryn and Hannah. Additional family includes his sister, Lynn Crane, and nephews Thomas and Steven. Charles will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at Northside Chapel and Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 4:00pm. Family will receive friends from 3:00pm - 4:00pm.
