Clare LePere, age 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026, in Woodstock, Georgia.

She was born in Brewster, New York, the youngest of four daughters to Joanna and Thomas Callahan. Clare was raised in her Catholic faith at the Parish of St. Lawrence O'Toole and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in Katonah, New York, where she was a top student and a talented player on the women's basketball team.

She and her husband, Carl, lived an active retirement in Melbourne, Florida. During her time in Florida, Clare was an avid tennis player and volunteered to support many social causes. Upon moving to Georgia, Clare and Carl resided first in Madison, and later in Woodstock to be near their two eldest daughters. Throughout her life, Clare was a dedicated and active member of her parish communities, serving faithfully as a Eucharistic Minister, a Mother's Guild member, and a Rectory and school volunteer. She deeply embraced and cherished being a part of the St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church community in Roswell after moving to Woodstock. She also loved to travel and explore new places, with Ireland being one of her favorites, and deeply important to her family heritage.

Clare is survived by her four children, Joann, Karen, Michele, and Thomas, and their spouses. She leaves behind a legacy of love within her extended family, including eight grandchildren, their spouses, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her parents, Joanna and Thomas Callahan; and her three older sisters, Kathleen, Lucille, and Rita.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 10:30AM at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church. An interment at Georgia National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
