Claytie was a committed Christian and prayer warrior.

Claytie June (Johnson) Hall passed on to her reward in Heaven on September 19, 2026, in her home in Marietta, GA. She was the 5th of 9 children of Leo and Martha Johnson. She is survived by her husband Jerry Hall; son, Ron Hall (and Anne); daughter, Debbie Hamilton (and David); and son, Michael Hall (and Tiffany); 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her dad and mom, and 3 brothers; James, Lawrence and Leon.

She met her husband, Jerry, in 1954 and they have been married for 71 years.

She graduated from Bellevue High School where she was noted for her neatness. Her junior year she was selected to be a Home Coming attendant and her senior year she was the Home Coming Queen.

She has been a dedicated wife, mother and Christian. She was a professional seamstress and designed and made a great deal of her children’s clothes. She sewed for interior designers and had great artistic ability.

It brought Claytie great joy reminding people of their birthday. She meticulously selected each card for her family and friends. Also, for several years she sent cards to the entire East Cobb Church family.

Claytie was a committed Christian and prayer warrior. Much of her time was spent studying and praying for many people. In her last days she spent much of her time testifying about her conviction of:

     Jesus living a perfect life and dying a horrific death so that we can be forgiven and live with Him in eternity.

     Continuing to seek God’s guidance for directing our lives,

     While she suffered over 25 years with major health problems and from the treatments, you never give up on your belief in your eternal home with Jesus.

In her last days, she would say, “Don’t grieve for me, be happy for me that I am going to be blessed with a new body and will no longer have to tolerate this pain and discomfort”.

She looks forward to tremendous joy in Heaven.
