Obituary

Clifford William Johnson, age 90, of Alpharetta, GA passed away peacefully at sunset and with his children by his side, on September 5, 2024 after a brief illness.
Clifford was born on August 15, 1934 in Willmar, MN. His family attended Bethel Lutheran church. He graduated from Willmar High School and then attended Gustavus Adolphus College where he studied for a degree in Social Work and met his future wife, Diana. He worked as an Industrial Sales Manager for 30 years for Minnesota Rubber Company, during which time they lived in MN, WI, GA, OH, and CA. While working, he returned to school and attended Baldwin Wallace College where he earned his MBA. Subsequently they retired to New Mexico.
Clifford served in the United States Army from 1954 until 1957. He was passionate about serving his community and was a member of Jaycees, Kiwanis, Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Little League baseball coach and Boy Scouts of America. He also volunteered for many years at the VA hospital in Albuquerque, NM.

Clifford is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Diana Sroder Johnson; his parents, Ted and Esther; and 4 of his siblings, Charles, Audrey, Ardis and Arlene. He is survived by both of his children, Ted Johnson (Natasha) and Cathy Parios (Paul); his 5 grandchildren, Diana, Audrey, John (Parios), Nicole and Angela (Johnson); his brother, Clayton; and many extended family members and good friends all over the country including Margot and Roger.

He enjoyed hearing from so many people on his recent 90th birthday and the family would like to express their gratitude to all those involved in making it a special day.

It was Cliff's wish to be directly cremated. A memorial service and celebration of life is going to be held at Cross of Life Lutheran Church in Roswell, GA on November 11, 2024 at 11:00AM.
Clifford will be interred at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA in November.
