Daniel F. Osman, age 91, of Alpharetta, GA passed away on May 16, 2023.
Dan was born in Jamestown, New York, the son of the late Fred and Betty Osman. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1949.
With a young family and wife, he worked 2 and sometimes 3 jobs to provide for them. His work ethic and dedication to his family eventually led him to his first corporate sales job with Beech-Nut Baby Food. Dan worked for Beech-Nut for several years before taking a new position with Hunt Wesson Foods. A few years later, he was hired as a salesman for Oneida Silversmiths. After a couple of years at Oneida, he was promoted to National Sales Manager of the Stainless Flatware Division. This promotion moved Dan and Marilyn to Oneida, New York where the Oneida Silversmiths corporate headquarters was located. After a few years, he was charged with the task of starting up the Oneida Crystal Division. He traveled all over the world sourcing crystal for Oneida. Dan and his family relocated to Georgia in July of 1985 when Oneida opened a Southeast office in Atlanta, where he worked side by side with his son, Gordon, who was a Regional Manager at Oneida, and they continued to live there after he retired.
Dan is survived by his wife, Marilyn A. Osman; his sons, Stephen Osman (Debbie) and Gordon Osman (Jane); his daughter, Kay Angeloff (John); 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
