David Jones passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024, in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Dave was born in Glendale, West Virginia in 1935 To Andrew Johnson Jones and Wilda King Jones and raised in New Castle Delaware. He was a graduate of William Penn High School Class of 1953 and attended University of Delaware. He began his working career Atlas Powder Company at the Atlas Point plant which later became Atlas Chemical Industries and then ICI Americas. He was transferred to Memphis, TN. in 1973 where he was later promoted to Plant Manager in 1982. Dave was transferred to Brantford, Ontario Canada in 1987 as plant manager and back to Wilmington, Delaware in 1992 to work on a new computer installation at the Atlas Point plant. Dave retired from ICI in 1993. He moved to Alpharetta, Georgia in 2007 to be near his son and grandchildren.

His passing was preceded by his wife of 60 years Sarah B. Jones and is survived by his son, Andrew (Timi), and three grandchildren - Austin (Sarah Lynn), Grayce, Eli - a sister, Sandra McNally, brother, Richard ("Dick"), and many nieces and nephews.

He was an avid Computer Tech, loved Photography and Fishing. In the late 60's and early 70's was a member of the National Rifle Association where he became an Expert with 22, 38 and 45 caliber pistols. He was also involved in genealogy and had traced his ancestors back to the American Revolution and was a member of the "Sons of American Revolution" Piedmont Chapter.

David wished to be cremated and interred without services at Gracelawn Cemetery on DuPont Highway in New Castle, Delaware.
