Obituary

David Jospeh Koleos, beloved husband, father, and son, passed away peacefully at his home in Milton on the morning of May 1, 2025, at the age of 68.
Born on May 4, 1956, in West Palm Beach, Florida, David was one of eight children born to Jackie and Mike Koleos, and shared a special bond with his twin brother, Dan. He graduated from Florida State University, where he earned multiple degrees and developed a lifelong love for Seminole football.
Following graduation, David proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Captain as a supply officer. After his military service, he went on to build a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant, working for one of the Big Four accounting firms before opening his own real estate development company and then CPA firm. David was also an Eagle Scout; something that he and his wife often shared a laugh over.
David was known for his love and kindness towards animals, his devotion to his family, and his dutiful attention to providing for everyone in his life. He had a great sense of humor, a deep love for animals, and a passion for the simple joys in life. David often joked that he dreamt of being a rockstar until he was "bitten by the accounting bug." Whenever possible, you could find him fishing, enjoying a fine cigar or cheering on FSU.
He is survived by his loving wife, Emily; his children, Davis, Lauren, and Michael; his mother, Jackie; and his siblings, Dan (Debi), Ken, Vicky, Matt (Herma), Michael, and Penny. He also leaves behind his beloved pets, Elvira, Marcel, and Poppy.
David was preceded in death by his father, Mike; his sister, Pamela; and his dearly loved pets Ruby, Nyx, Ladybug, and Carl.
David will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and joy he brought to others. A private service for family will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's name to Fulton County Animal Shelter to honor his love for animals.
