Mr. Dennis J. Hill, age 80, of Woodstock, Georgia, formerly Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away on July 2, 2023. Dennis was born on June 13, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son to the late Jim and Virginia Hill.
Dennis moved to the Atlanta area as a toddler and forever became a true Southerner.
He graduated from Sandy Springs High School, attended Presbyterian College and then graduated from the University of Georgia, where he was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He was an avid, lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan. After college Dennis served two years in the Army.
Dennis was married to his wife, Nancy Hill, for 58 years. Together they raised one daughter, Allison, and were fortunate enough to enjoy two grandchildren and one great grandson.
Dennis was the owner of Showways Unlimited, a company which produced Manufactured Housing shows for over 50 years. In 2004, he was inducted into the RV/ MH Hall of Fame; the only show producer to be so honored.
Having retired in 2021, Dennis was a huge history buff, loved gardening, college football, his much beloved dogs, Beau and Cooper and his family.
Along with his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Hill. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; daughter, Allison Sims (Dean Count) of Columbus, Ohio; granddaughter, Briana Sebastian (Zach Sebastian) of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandson, Maxwell Sims of Sarasota, Florida; one great grandson, Everest Sebastian; and many friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on July 9, 2023 at 3:30 in the afternoon at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation, Furkids Animal Rescue in Alpharetta, or the APC Pastors Emergency Fund.
