Dennis Carroll Turner age 77 of Dahlonega, formerly of Alpharetta passed away on February 21, 2024. He was born in Cherokee County on July 17, 1948 to Santford and Pearl Turner. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He earned a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and other military awards. Dennis was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 201 and was the Georgia State Coordinator for American Legion Baseball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Huggins Turner; sons, Randy M. Turner and Todd M. Turner. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Charles Pritchett; grandchildren, Stephen and Shelley Pritchett, Tabitha and Greg Bryant, Daniel and Dessica Pritchett, Payton and Alyssa Turner, Jessica Willis and Jenna Willis; 10 great-grandchildren and other extended family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12PM until the time of service at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors.
