Donald Eugene Holbrook aged 88, passed away peacefully in his home in Comer Ga. on August 18, 2023. Donald was surrounded by his loving wife Rita and family.
Donald was born in Alpharetta, Ga on July 10, 1935. Donald owned and operated two successful heating and air businesses, S&H heating and Air and Holbrook Heating and Air. He served in the National Guard of Ga and took pride in serving his country. His favorites hobbies and pastimes were metal detecting and building and remodeling homes. He also enjoyed traveling the world with his life's companion Rita Holbrook. In addition to that he loved his family so much and enjoyed spending time with them every chance he could.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents William Atward Holbrook and Georgie Westbrook Holbrook and his brother William Joe Holbrook. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Rita Ann Johnson Holbrook who was by his side throughout their many life journeys, sons Michael Eugene Holbrook (wife Teleka) and David Alan Holbrook (wife Colleen). Grandchildren Amanda Marlow (Joe), Sarah Stallings (Ben), Erik Holbrook (Sylvia), Tyler Holbrook (Courtney), Casey Holbrook and seven great grandchildren.
As we bid farewell to Donald, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life
defined by dedication, adventure, and an unending devotion to
family. His legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege
of knowing him.
