Doris Hawkins Lord, 98 of Alpharetta, Ga, passed away on March 22.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00, March 28 at Northside Chapel in Roswell with visitation beginning at 10:00. Warren Lathem will be officiating. The viewing will be held at Northside Chapel on March 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will follow the funeral at Green Lawn Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Northside Chapel.

Doris was born March 31,1927. She graduated from Milton High School in Alpharetta.

She was married to Ollie Lord on April 27,1947. They were married 70 years.

She worked at Southern Railway for 12 years where she met Dad. She was a mother and homemaker for her remaining years. She enjoyed her grandkids, church and music. She was the pianist at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church for over 30 years and later joined Midway Methodist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and is survived by Dennis, Becky, Denali and Logan Lord. Also, family members Lawrence & Janie Hawkins, Shirley Smith, Sue & Tom Buhl and their families.
Mom is preceded in death by Ernest and Corine Hawkins.
