Dwight Hansard of Milton, GA passed away on January 13, 2023.
Dwight attended Milton High School and is a member of Boiling Springs Primitive Baptist Church. After high school, Dwight enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1958 until 1962. After his service, he made a career for himself and retired from the United States Postal Service.
Dwight is preceded in death by his parents, James and Vernia Hansard; his brother, Jimmy Hansard; and his brother-in-law, Wayne Willoughby.
Dwight is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Pat Hansard; his son, Alan (Sherry) Hansard of Cumming, GA; his daughter, Lori (Randy) Moore of Milton, GA; his grandson, Andrew (Amanda) Moore; his granddaughters, Emily (Hank) Bottoms and Lindsey (Joey) Musulman; six great grandchildren; Christopher and Sydney Moore, Lola and Beau Bottoms and Eli and Noah Musulman; and siblings, Nathaniel (Vivian) Hansard, Diane (Sammy) Morris and Joan Willoughby.
A funeral service to honor Dwight's life will take place on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:00am at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and officiated by Rev. Bud Sutton. Dwight's family will receive friends on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and for one and a half hours prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Boiling Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
