Eileen Sparks, age 89, of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Eileen was born on November 19, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry and Thelma Armentrout.

Eileen moved to the Atlanta area in 1978 with her two children, Marty and Paula.

After a career as a logistics expert in importing produce, Eileen began to travel the world with the lifelong friends she had made in Atlanta. Her favorite trips included travel with her closest friend, Jerrye McKoane to Africa and a long world cruise. They visited many other foreign destinations around the world and she enjoyed them all.

Eileen was a loyal, stalwart and true friend to many. Once you were a friend of Eileen's you were her friend forever. In recent years Eileen experienced an increasing number of health challenges and demonstrated extreme resilience of mind and body to all those around her.

Eileen is survived by her two loving children, Marty Sparks (Rhonda) of Cumming, Georgia and Paula Sparks of Marietta, Georgia. For the past 60 years, Eileen has been embraced as an honorary family member of the McKoane/Sexton families.

A memorial service will take place at two o'clock in the afternoon of Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Northside Chapel at 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, Georgia.
