Mr. Elgin Aeschliman, age 75, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, after a brief illness. Elgin was born March 22, 1949, near Los Angeles, California.
After high school, Elgin joined the U.S. Navy and was based at Mayport, Florida, where he met and married his wife, Fran. Following his naval service, Elgin worked for NCR Corporation while also attending college at night. He earned his bachelor's degree with honors from Mercer University.
Elgin enjoyed renovating his homes and puttering in the garden. Travel was a special interest, and he took great pleasure in experiencing delights such as watching the Blue Angels flight show and riding the Glacier Express in Switzerland.
Along with his parents, Elgin is preceded in death by infant son Christopher. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Fran; daughter Christine Forrester (Mike); grandson William Elgin; sister, Mary Kay Anderson; and six nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 1 at the Northside Chapel at 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, Georgia. A reception will follow the conclusion of the service.
