Elizabeth (Liz) Otto Bennett Boyd, age 77, of Roswell, GA passed away on September 15, 2023. She was born in Macon, GA on April 12, 1946 and was the daughter of Julius Herman and Grace Otto. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Julius and Frederick Otto; and her sister, Grace Ashbaugh. She is survived by her husband, TSgt. Wayne B. Boyd, Ret. USAF; her son, Jeffrey Alan Bennett; her grandchildren, Alan Michael Bennett, Nicholas Bennett and Lily Lyn Bennett; along with nieces, nephews and her extended family members, Bevan, Christopher, Caitlin and Carlie Boyd.
Elizabeth enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She never met a stranger she didn't like and she always tried to share love and joy. She also had a very interesting career life from being a medical transcriptionist, a furniture salesperson, a professional secretary in the Georgia university system, and for the last 20 years working for Walmart, where everyone in the Roswell and Alpharetta area knew her as "The Walmart Lady."
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11:00AM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114, 770-479-9300.
