Mrs. Ella Mae Brooks, 82 of Roswell, died November 29, 2006. Mrs. Brooks was reitred from Northside Hospital after 24 1/2 years of service and also served at the Joan Glancy Hospital in Duluth. She was a member of North Roswell Baptist Church. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny D. Brooks. She is survived by daughters, Averil and Gus Shipman of Cumming, Patsy and Paul Brewer of Augusta, and Kathy and Larry Melton of Dallas; son, Rev. Larry and Debra Brooks of Woodstock; sisters, Gladys Clanton, Betty Treadaway, and Sylvie Kimbrell all of Woodstock; daughter-in-law, Gloria Brooks of Woodstock; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006 at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Larry Brooks and Rev. Eddie Parker officiating. Interment, Green Lawn Cemetery.
