Ella Vivian Coleman, age 82 of Roswell, Ga. Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024. She was born on September 1, 1941, to the parents of Ira and Fannie Hendrix.
Ella attended Milton High School and continued her education with numerous certifications in childcare teaching. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas (Tom) Coleman whom she shared over 65 years with.
Ella had a talent and love for cooking. She would spend days preparing food for family gatherings and events. Everyone loved her fresh vegetables, but Ella loved baking desserts the most. She was a humble woman who gave often to others. She loved growing vegetables and flowers; she would spend hours in her garden and caring for the plants in her home.
Ella was a nurturer and teacher. She raised many children with her home daycare, taught at preschools and enjoyed her time with the children. Her caregiving extended to home health care, where she not only cared for the person but the home as well. When Ella was not gardening or caretaking, she was cleaning. Her hobbies included painting, shopping, and feeding the birds.
Ella is survived by her four children Beverly Gann, Teresa Millsaps, Rhonda & David Harman and Thomas Jr. and Tammy Coleman, 10 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service to remember Ella will be held on Thursday, January 11 @ 12PM. The family will be receiving visitation Wednesday, January 10 from 5 – 8:30pm at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Rd. Roswell, GA 30075.
