Eras Robin Hegna, 64, passed away in her home in Sterling, Virginia after a prolonged period of illness and heath struggles, with her husband of 24 years, Craig Hegna at her side. Eras is preceded in death by her father Zoltan "Jack" Gyure, Mother Barbara Jean Gyure, and her beloved infant daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Anderson, Father in law Charles Hegna, and brother in law Paul Hegna. She is survived by her Husband Craig Hegna, her Son Joshua Anderson, her daughter in law Julie Anderson, her beloved granddaughter Abigail Anderson, her brother in law Steve Hegna, sister in law Carol Miller, sister in law Lynn Moore-Hegna, brother in law Steve Moore, mother in law Edwena Hegna, and her faithful kitty cat Sunny. Eras was born in Chicago, Illinois where she grew up watching Cubs games with her family from apartment rooftops overlooking Wrigley Field, instilling a lifelong love of baseball fandom including both the Cubs and Braves. After her family relocated to the Atlanta area, Eras attended North Springs High School, later attended Christian concerts, was born again and baptized, worked as a waitress at a restaurant named Good Ol' Days, got married and started a family and attended church with her family at a local Calvary Chapel in the early eighties. Later that decade she started a successful house cleaning business, cleaning huge homes in the Atlanta area, catering for well to do clients, and even cleaning the home of one of the Atlanta Falcons players. During this period, she moved her and her son back into her parents' home to care for her ailing mother for two years. After her mother passed she relocated once more to Northern Virginia, where she eventually opened a shop in Middleburg, Virginia named the Three French Hens, selling handcrafted centerpieces for weddings and events. She later went on to excel in managing a team of cleaning professionals for corporate housing. During this time Eras also pursued a lifelong practice of writing poetry, studying at Georgetown, later publishing a book of her poems in 2006 entitled "Crocodile Tears". As a hobby at home Eras took up oil painting, where she would paint vivid modern art. She convinced her Husband Craig to load up their ford pick up truck with her paintings and drive to New York City to enter the International Independent Film festival which had a best Artist category for paintings, where she won first prize to the astonishment of her family, but not to her. When no longer working Eras also volunteered with the Ronald McDonald house, cared for a woman with muscular dystrophy and was known around local pubs and haunts as someone who was generous and kind, and willing to help strangers or a friend down on their luck. Eras attended Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia and encouraged her family to as well, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with them and encouraging her son to get baptized. Eras loved her country and was patriotic, and proud of her father's service in WWII, she inherited her mother's gifts as an artist and love for Christmas, she was very funny and loved to laugh loudly, she played piano beautifully by ear with no notes, was a terrific cook, she argued with passion, she was devoted and prayed without ceasing over her family, she had a genuine Faith in Jesus, and she is with him now, and in no more pain.
