Eric Thomas Graves, 55, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away on June 27, 2024 after a 12-year battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.
Eric was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the beloved son of John and Joyce Graves of Hoschton, GA. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Civil Engineering and earned his master's degree from Georgia State University. Eric dedicated 19 years of his career to serving the City of Alpharetta, where he made significant contributions to community development projects such as Avalon, downtown Alpharetta, and the Alpha Loop.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tessa Graves. He is survived by his loving wife, Eryne Graves; son, Alec Graves of San Antonio, TX; bonus daughter, Ashley Siefker of Atlanta, Georgia; bonus daughter Rylee Siefker of Hilliard, Ohio; brother, Brian Graves and wife Catherine of Suwanee, GA, as well as his nephews, Max and Sam Graves.
Eric will be remembered for his perpetual smile, his dedication to his family, his love for the beach, outdoors, and his passion for his work with the City of Alpharetta.
A celebration of Eric's life will be held on July 9th at 11 AM at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, GA.
