DONSBACH — Eugene John Donsbach, Jr., 85, of Roswell, Georgia, died April 1, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 13, 1940, in Alabama, the son of the late Eugene and Theckla Donsbach, he was a lifelong Catholic and a graduate of the University of Alabama in 1962, where he earned his degree in accounting, and also served as President of his fraternity, Kappa Sigma. He became a Certified Public Accountant and built a distinguished career in public accounting spanning more than four decades across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. In addition to his professional pursuits, he was an avid supporter of Alabama football, Junior Achievement, and many local Rotary clubs in the communities in which he lived and worked.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Donsbach, his two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Elizabeth Donsbach, and George and Elizabeth Donsbach; three grandchildren, John, Benjamin and Katelyn, his brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Ina Donsbach; and sister and brother-in-law, Theckla Ann and Tate Sterrett, along with several nieces and nephews.
The Northside Chapel Funeral Home is overseeing arrangements. Visitation will be at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 675 Riverside Rd., Roswell, Ga. in the Narthex, Friday April 10th at 10:00 am. Funeral Mass celebration will follow at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, on April 10th at 10:30 am, with the Fr. Jamie Rivera officiating.
Burial and graveside prayer will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Ga. At 12:30 pm, with Fr. Jamie Rivera.
