Fannie Lee Tolbert, known to family and friends, as Faye Tolbert passed away on June 27th of 2023 at the age of 78. Faye was born in Rochelle, Georgia and Carl Reno Buice and Clara Elizabeth Buice were her parents. Faye came from a very large family with many siblings that she loved dearly. She is survived by her brothers Bobby, Jerry, Ronnie, Donny and her sister Margaret. She was preceded in death by her siblings Henry, James, Janie and Linda. The family had rough beginnings, but they all worked hard and loved each other and remained very close.
Faye married Johnny Tolbert and remained married until Johnny's passing in December of 2017. They had one child together named Pete Tolbert. They lived in Crabapple Georgia. Johnny and Faye were the best parents that any child could dream of, and Pete will miss them so very much. Faye had two grandchildren, Max and Maddie, that she cherished. Faye also recently became a great grandmother to a little girl named Izzy. She is survived by her son Pete, Shea, Max, Maddie and Izzy.
Faye worked extremely hard and owned a cleaning business with her sister Janie until Janie's passing. Faye loved to cook and have large family gatherings. Her house was always immaculately clean and open to everyone. Later in life, Faye enjoyed watching game shows and staying connected with family and friends.
She battled lung cancer and then leukemia for several years. She fought for many years without complaining or feeling sorry for herself. She was a true warrior and will be missed greatly. Faye's service will be held on Saturday July 15th at Northside Chapel in Crabapple. Family and friends are welcome to attend the service. The family will be receiving friends at 1pm and the service will be held at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to "The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society" at
