Faye Hill Buckham, age 89, of Hickory Flat, Georgia, passed away on September 1, 2024 and went to be with God. Faye was born March 21, 1935 in Limestone County, Alabama, the daughter of John T. and Vera B. Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Max, Orville, Bill and John, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert, and their three children, son Edwin (Wendy), daughter Jennifer (Jeffrey) Glover, and daughter Rebecca (Bradley) Blizzard, as well as nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Graduating from Tanner High School in Alabama, where she was elected Senior Beauty Queen, Faye moved to Nashville and was employed in several clerical positions. Her love for children, however, led her to establish and subsequently direct Brentwood Day School. She assembled and organized a like-minded staff into what became, at the time, the most sought-after pre-school in Brentwood.
Faye's family and friends will cherish her memory and recall a bright, beautiful soul who cared deeply for others and who brought life and an unforgettable smile to everyone she touched.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00am at Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA. The family will receive friends from 10:00am prior to the service. For those wanting to make a donation in Mrs. Buckham's memory the family asks that you consider making a donation to Northbrook United Methodist Church.
