Geneva Reece Dangar, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and
friend, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 98.
She was born Geneva Mae Reece in Roswell, Georgia, to the late Wade Oscar Reece and
Ella Mae Foster Reece. Geneva graduated from Milton High School and, a few years later,
married Leonard Lloyd Dangar. Together, they made their home in Roswell, where they
lovingly raised their family and later enjoyed life as grandparents.
Geneva began her career working for First National Bank of Atlanta, then C&S Bank. She had a deep love for children and dedicated more than 40 years of her life as a teacher at Young Life Academy.
Known for her kindness and welcoming spirit, Geneva had a wonderful sense of humor and
loved to laugh. She cherished family gatherings and enjoyed spending time at the lake,
traveling, gardening, playing cards, listening to gospel music, and water skiing. She also
dearly loved her faithful Shih Tzu companion, Biscuit, who was by her side for 18 years.
Geneva's legacy lives on through her children, Steven Lloyd Dangar and Dana Wade Dangar
(Rebecca); and her three grandchildren, Ryan Carson Dangar, Stephanie Dangar Brackeen,
and Matthew Dangar and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Joel Lamar Reece, Eloise Reece Phillips, and
Laverne Reece Bates.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Northside Chapel,
12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the same
location on Monday, January 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Green
Lawn Cemetery in Roswell.
