George M. Eubanks
George, at age 86, died at his home in Alpharetta, GA after a brief illness. He is predeceased by his brother Bill and his twin sister Eloise. George was born in Atlanta, in 1932 at Emory Hospital. He attended E. Rivers Grammar School and graduated from the McCallie Military School in Chattanooga, TN. He studied the next four years at Emory University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and served as editor of the school annual.
Toward the end of the Korean War, George served honorably and proudly as a Naval Pilot. After his service, he enrolled in the Emory Law School, received an LLB degree and was elected to the DVS Honor Society.
He practiced law in downtown Atlanta and was a partner in the firm Hicks, Eubanks and Scroggins. He eventually moved his practice to Sandy Springs where he founded and was president of the Sandy Springs Lawyers Club.
His children, grandchildren and Carole, his wife were his greatest joys. They loved skiing and hiking, and for ten years, enjoyed their home in Highlands, NC. They were members of Highlands Falls Country Club and the Mountain Laurel Tennis Club.
George is survived by his son George F., Mission Viejo, CA (Kathy), Amy Roegge, Alpharetta, GA (Tom) and Susan Graham, Alpharetta, GA (Danny) and six beautiful grandchildren.
Services for George will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018 at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory, 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, GA 30075.
