Georgia R. Hembree passed away on the morning of May 12th, 2023. She is survived by her children, Crisanne Triplett and Rusty Hembree; five grandchildren, Collin, Nico, Tatum, Sterling and Matthew. Georgia was born in San Diego, California on June 19, 1942. She moved back to her family's hometown of Alpharetta, Georgia in 1949, and became a third-generation member of Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, where she spent many years in the chancel choir. She received education degrees from Georgia Southern University and Oglethorpe University, and taught special needs kindergarten. Georgia loved plants and spent her time tending her garden, as well as visiting elderly shut-ins and helping with church services at The Oaks assisted living community. She lived a life dedicated to helping those around her.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 15th from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors in Roswell, Georgia. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 15th, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors in Roswell, Georgia. Burial will be on Monday, May 15th, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Golden Bells of Atlanta or Alpharetta City Band.
