It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gina Michelle Riggins, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, devoted mother, and a cherished friend. Gina's journey began on October 9, 1967, when she was born to her proud parents, Dan and Wanda MacAfee, who were overjoyed to welcome her into their lives.
Gina lived a life filled with love, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose. She touched the hearts of everyone she encountered and left an indelible mark on the world. Her infectious laughter, warm smile, and kind-hearted nature brightened the lives of those around her.
As a devoted wife, Gina found Scott, her soulmate and partner in life. Gina and Scott shared a bond built on trust, mutual respect, and unwavering love. Their 25 years of life together was filled with cherished memories, laughter, and a deep understanding of one another.
Gina's true joy, however, came from being a devoted mother to her children, Abbey and Mitchell. She poured her heart and soul into raising them, nurturing their dreams, and guiding them on their individual paths. Gina's love knew no bounds, and she found immense fulfillment in witnessing her children grow into the remarkable individuals they are today.
Professionally, Gina was a shining star. She earned a Bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University in 1990, a testament to her dedication and commitment to her education. Gina's passion and expertise led her to a successful career at Southwest Airlines, where she enjoyed traveling throughout the country.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Gina had a zest for life. She had an adventurous spirit that led her to explore the outdoors, embrace new experiences, and appreciate God's beauty that surrounded her. Whether she was traveling to breathtaking destinations or finding joy in the simplest moments, Gina lived each day with gratitude and a genuine appreciation for life's wonders.
Gina's kindness extended far beyond her immediate family. She was a loyal friend, always there to offer support, lend an ear, and share in both the joys and challenges of life. Her genuine compassion and selflessness touched the lives of many, leaving an enduring impact on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Gina Riggins will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and a spirit that will continue to inspire those who were blessed to have known her.
A memorial service to celebrate Gina's remarkable life and to honor her memory will be held on June 16, 2023, at 11:00am, at North Point Community Church in the "Attic," at the south entrance of the church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Tunnel to Towers Foundation
